Squid Game is an upcoming South Korean web series starring actors such as Lee Jung-Jae, Park Hae-Soo , Heo Sung-Tae , Wi Ha-Joon and is directed by Hwang Dong-Hyuk. It will be streaming only on Netflix originals from 17th September, 2021.
It is Korean and is based on a deadly game in which a group of non serious people gets involved owing to unexpected problems and dangerous ties with each other.

Squid Game Plot
Ki-Hoon (Lee Jung-Jae) gets fired from his job. His life is miserable. Ki-Hoon hears about a secret survival game, with a 45.6 billion won prize for the winner. He decides to take part in the game. Meanwhile, Sang-Woo (Park Hae-Soo) is like a brother to Ki-Hoon and vice versa. They grew up in the same neighbourhood.
Trailer for the same has been released on the Netflix official site and it looks quite thrilling and eye capturing from its trailer.
Despite his poor family background, Sang-Woo graduated from a prestigious university and found a good job. He now faces a crisis, due to misappropriation of company funds.
He decides to take part in the secret survival game with Ki-Hoon.
However, tables turn quickly as the game proceeds further with 100 of competitors, competing with each other for a whopping price of 40 Billion. Games are often played for fun but what happens when it becomes a matter of life and death and moreover such a big winning amount is a hint to upcoming danger which the contenders are yet to face.
