Darcy - Jimmy Woo Marvel Series Might be a Possibility

Although initially making their Marvel Cinematic Universe debuts in 2011's Thor and 2018’s Ant-Man and the Wasp respectively, Darcy Lewis and Jimmy Woo were both subsequently featured in the Disney+ series, WandaVision. They are introduced in the series as S,W.O.R.D agents. The Sentient World Observation and Response Department (S.W.O.R.D) is a government agency combatting extraterrestrial threats and complimenting S.H.I.E.L.D's domestic operations. After working as Jane Foster's (Natalie Portman) assistant in Thor and Thor: The Dark World, Darcy arrived at the S.W.O.R.D base outside of Westview with a doctorate in astrophysics. Meanwhile, Jimmy met S.W.O.R.D agent Monica Rambeau (Teyonah Parris) in Ant-Man and the Wasp.

Although WandaVision mainly dealt with Wanda Maximoff and her struggles to come to terms with the loss of her lover during the events of Avengers: Infinity War, the series also featured Woo and Lewis in prominent roles. In fact, the pairing got so popular that fans started to come up with possible ideas about a spin off series about the two, similar to The Falcon And The Winter Soldier. Now, while such ideas are mostly ignored by the studios, we have now come to know that Marvel has indeed taken notice of them, and it just might be that we could get the show in the future. Read on to know more.

It is no surprise that fans loved watching Darcy team up with Jimmy and Monica in the series as they attempted to solve the mystery of the Westview hex. This would lead to the trio being one of Marvel’s most popular, at the same time unexpected team ups of the year. In fact, their presence in the show would be so vital that they would also clash with Tyler Hayward (Josh Stamberg), the acting director of S.W.O.R.D in support of Wanda; and even coming out on top. And now with Monica off to continue her story in The Marvels, fans have been crying out for a Jimmy Woo/Darcy Lewis X-Files-esque spinoff.

According to Kat Dennings, who plays Darcy in the series, Marvel has indeed heard these ideas and has taken note of them. In a recent interview with PopCulture, Dennings relayed her thoughts on the spin-off idea. This is what she had to say:

“It's always up to the powers that be...I think they [Marvel] took notice of all the comments."

Although there is no official confirmation about the series from Marvel’s side, it will do well consider that possibility of it happening all the same.
