List of Upcoming series whose Trailers launched at San Diego Comic Con

The international Comic Con in San Diego was held without anyone in attendance for the second year in a row, titled Comic Con@Home. The event saw the fans attending from the comfort of their home, without having to pay a single penny.

As usual, we also got to see a bunch of trailers and teasers to many eagerly awaited movies and TV series, with Lucifer, Doctor Who and Deter being a few. Here, we will be taking a look at some of the mainstream series premiering on Amazon Prime and Netflix.

MOVIES

  • ARMY OF THIEVES

The prequel to Army of the Dead, Army of Thieves is about the German Ludwig Dieter and his ragtag group of thieves on a high-profile heist during the early days of the zombie apocalypse. 

The movie is set to release late this year on Netflix.

  • EVANGELION: 3.0+1.0 THRICE UPON A TIME

The fourth and final Evangelion movie will deal with Shinji Ikari and the aftermath of him losing his will to live. It will see him make one last attempt at stopping the Final Impact as the Instrumentality Project is set in motion. Thrice Upon a Lifetime promises to conclude the story of Evangelion and the Angels.

The movie will be coming to Amazon Prime on August 13th this year.

TV SERIES (TRAILERS/TEASERS)

  • CHUCKY

Jake finds a Good Guy doll at a yard sale. Unfortunately for him, it turrns out he gets the Chucky doll, as Chucky starts up his murder spree at Jake’s high school.

Chucky will premiere on Syfy and USA on Oct. 12

  • DEXTER: SEASON 9 

The 9th season of the show will see Dexter undergoing therapy, but struggling to resist his urges while handling knives and guns. The trailer also gave us a peak at some of the locals among whom Dexter now tries to blend in with his new identity. Season 9 will premiere  Nov. 7, 2021

  • DC's LEGENDS OF TOMORROW: SEASON 6 

The series will see Ava and Sara’s wedding get interrupted by aliens who force the Legends to bowl for their lives. Meanwhile, John Constantine gets dangerously deep into his magic, but will apparently return in the 7th season as Dr. Gwyn Davies.

Episodes of Season 6 will be airing on Sundays on The CW.

  • DOCTOR WHO: SEASON 13 

The 13th season will see Jodie Whittaker return as the time-traveling scientist from the distant planet Gallifrey, Doctor Who. We will also get a new character Vinder (played by Jacob Anderson), making his debut in the new season, joining Whittaker, Mandip Gill, and John Bishop. 

Doctor Who will be Coming later in 2021 to BBC America.

  • LUCIFER: SEASON 6

The premiere date for the sixth and final season of Lucifer was announced by Netflix in the form of a short teaser. The new season will deal with the fallout of Lucifer Morningstar succeeding his father as the new at the end of the previous season. The announcement video saw Lucifer confirming that he was leaving Los Angeles.

Lucifer season 6 will premiere Coming Sept. 10 on Netflix.


  • S.O.Z.: SOLDIERS OR ZOMBIES

The Mexican zombie series sees an experiment to turn soldiers into zombies going wrong and spreading the zombie outbreak south of the border. 

 The series will premiere on Amazon Prime on August 6.
