Ghostbusters: Afterlife Plot synopsis

Single mother Callie (Carrie Coon) and her two kids are forced to leave their home for their ancestral farmhouse at Summerville, Oklahoma, left to them by her children's deceased grandfather. The family experiences strange things happening in an old mine that once belonged to an alleged charmer and earthquakes for reasons unbeknownst to them.

The children then discover the history of their grandfather with the ghostbusters that the world has forgotten. But the kids and their friends get ready to use the ghostbusters equipment to save the world from a supernatural phenomenon related to Newyork threatening the world.

The director Jason Reitman states that the afterlife film will be different from its previous counterparts in the way of being more family-centered. He hopes that the new movie will be unique, not ignoring the original film's standards and basics. They changed the setting from New york to the American west to offer a different color palette and offer a unique identity to the film.

The script was also structured differently so that the mysterious connection of the children's grandfather, Dr. Egon Spengler's character, and his legacy is slowly revealed.

On seeing the new trailer released two days ago, it is evident that the new Ghostbusters: Afterlife film is going to be unique. With a refreshing contemporary touch, the film will entertain and thrill the audience, unlike Ghostbusters 3.
